Careers at MW Graphics

Join a Growing Hull-Based Team Delivering Vehicle Graphics and Signage Across the UK

MW Graphics is a Hull-based vehicle graphics, wrapping and commercial signage company, working with single-vehicle owner-operators, regional businesses and national fleet operators across the UK. As we continue to grow, we're always interested in hearing from people who take pride in skilled work and want to be part of a team that gets noticed for the right reasons.

MW Graphics is part of the Martin Williams (Hull) group, which has been operating from Burstwick since 1990. The wider group employs 11 to 50 people across vehicle body building, paint, accident repair, maintenance and graphics, with two sites in Hull and Dumfries.

Why Work at MW Graphics

Real work, real skills

Vehicle wrapping and commercial signage are skilled trades. There's a craft to fitting cast vinyl across complex panels without lifting at the edges, to laying out a fascia sign that reads cleanly from the road, to producing print files that translate accurately from screen to vehicle. People who care about doing things properly tend to enjoy this work.

Modern workshop and proper equipment

Our Burstwick workshop is set up for serious commercial work, with calibrated large-format printers, climate-controlled fitting bays and access equipment for at-height projects. The workshop is part of the wider Martin Williams 7-acre Burstwick site, which also houses some of the largest commercial spray booths in Europe.

Training and progression

We invest in training across vinyl installation, manufacturer certifications (Arlon, 3M, Avery Dennison, Oracal), at-height working (IPAF and PASMA) and signage manufacturing. Whether you're starting out or already experienced, there are routes to develop.

Backed by a 35-year-old group

Working at MW Graphics means working at a company that's part of the Martin Williams (Hull) group. The group has been trading since 1990 with major contracts including UK MOD work, English and Scottish prisoner escort vehicle conversions and major commercial fleet operators. That stability matters when you're choosing where to spend your career.

Roles We Hire For

Vehicle wrapping and commercial signage is as much a manufacturing business as it is an installation one. We hire across design, production, fabrication and installation, with most roles based at our Burstwick workshop and some on-site work for installation crews.

Design and pre-production

  • Graphic designers working in Adobe Illustrator on vehicle wraps, fleet liveries and commercial signage, taking projects from brand guidelines through to vehicle-specific 3D mock-ups and print-ready files

  • Estimators and project coordinators managing the workflow from quote to handover, including survey scheduling, materials ordering and customer communication

Print and production

  • Large-format print operators running calibrated production printers, managing colour profiles, laminating and quality-checking prints before they go to install

  • CNC and plotter operators cutting vinyl, panels and built-up letters using our cutting and routing equipment

  • Production assistants supporting the print and fabrication side with materials handling, machine prep and finishing

Signage manufacturing and fabrication

  • Sign fabricators building tray fascias, built-up letters, totems and illuminated signage from raw materials, including welding, fabrication and finishing

  • Electrical technicians wiring illuminated signage, LED lighting systems and control gear

Installation

  • Vehicle graphics and wrap installers fitting cast vinyl, full and partial wraps, fleet livery and PPF, working at the workshop and on customer sites across the UK

  • Signage fitters and installers installing fascia signs, built-up letters, totems and wayfinding systems, including at-height work on commercial premises (IPAF and PASMA training provided)

Workshop and support

  • Workshop assistants supporting day-to-day operations across vehicle prep, materials handling and general production support

  • Drivers and logistics moving vehicles between the workshop and customer sites, and delivering signage to install locations

Whether you're an experienced trade installer, a designer, a production specialist or someone looking to develop their skills within the industry, we'd welcome a conversation. Many of our team have moved across roles internally as their interests and the business have evolved.
