Modular Vehicle Wrapping in Hull
Updateable Panel Systems for Fleets, Campaigns and Evolving Brands
MW Graphics designs, prints and installs modular vehicle wrapping systems for fleets and businesses that need branding to evolve without redoing every vehicle from scratch. From our Burstwick workshop just outside Hull, we build vehicles that stay on-brand while letting individual panels be swapped, updated or refreshed as your business changes.

What Modular Vehicle Wrapping Is
Modular wrapping is a structured approach to vehicle branding where the wrap is designed in sections rather than as a single continuous graphic. Each section is a distinct panel that fits into the overall design, so any single element can be replaced independently.
Common panels that get updated include contact details, campaign messaging, phone numbers, website URLs, promotional offers, seasonal graphics and vehicle-specific identifiers like fleet numbers or depot names. The core brand identity, colours and main visual elements stay in place; only the panels that need to change get swapped.
When Modular Wrapping Makes Sense
Fleets running seasonal or promotional campaigns
If your business runs campaigns through the year, from summer sales to Christmas offers, modular wrapping lets you refresh campaign panels without touching the rest of the vehicle. Ideal for retail, hospitality and service businesses.
Fleets running seasonal or promotional campaigns
New phone numbers, updated URLs, new team names on individual vehicles or franchise territory changes can all be handled at panel level rather than wrap level. The rest of the vehicle stays as it was.
Growing brands with evolving positioning
Brands that update their strapline, tagline or key messaging periodically get to keep their core visual identity locked while letting the changeable panels evolve.
Fleets that add new vehicles regularly
A modular system means new vehicles joining the fleet can be branded from the same standard set of panels, keeping fleet consistency intact.
How the Panel System Works
During the initial design stage, we identify which parts of the wrap should be permanent brand elements and which parts should be modular update panels. Each modular panel is designed to sit within defined boundaries on the vehicle, with clear registration marks so replacement panels drop straight into position on refresh.
Panel changes can be scheduled around your operational availability. Individual panel swaps typically take a fraction of the time of a full wrap install, so vehicles are back on the road with minimal downtime.

We hold production files for every modular panel on record, so replacement panels can be reprinted and delivered to match the original install exactly. Colour, sizing and placement stay consistent through refresh cycles.
Materials We Use
Every modular wrap panel we produce uses cast vinyl from one of the four major manufacturers we're certified with: 3M, Avery Dennison, Arlon and Oracal. As an Arlon Certified Fleet Installer, our installations on Arlon-supplied materials are warranted by Arlon directly, not just by us.

Cast vinyl is the right choice for modular systems because it releases cleanly at end-of-panel-life without damaging the underlying vehicle paintwork, and bonds cleanly to fresh panels installed alongside older ones with matched finish.

How Much Does Modular Wrapping Cost?
Modular wrapping pricing depends on vehicle size, the initial number of designed panels, total fleet size and how many panels typically get refreshed per cycle.

The upfront cost of a modular system is comparable to a standard wrap, sometimes slightly higher because of the additional design and specification work. The savings come at refresh time, when panel-level updates cost a fraction of a full re-wrap. For fleet operators running multiple update cycles per year, modular systems pay for themselves quickly.
Modular Wrapping FAQs
A normal wrap is applied as a single, continuous graphic across the vehicle. Any change to any element usually means removing and replacing the whole wrap. Modular wrapping is designed in sections so that specific panels (like contact details or campaign messaging) can be swapped independently without touching the rest of the wrap.
Typical updates include contact details, phone numbers, website URLs, campaign messaging, seasonal graphics, promotional offers, team names, fleet numbers and depot identifiers. Core brand elements like logos, colours and main visual design usually stay in place across refresh cycles.
Individual panel swaps take significantly less time than a full wrap install. The exact time depends on panel size and position, but most single-panel updates can be completed in a fraction of the time of a full vehicle wrap. We'll give you a specific timeline at survey stage.
The initial install cost is comparable to a standard wrap, sometimes slightly higher because of the extra design and specification work. The savings come at refresh time, when panel swaps cost far less than a full re-wrap. For businesses updating branding regularly, a modular system saves money across its lifetime.
In most cases, yes, though it depends on the original wrap design. We'll assess the existing wrap at survey stage and confirm whether modular panels can be added over the top or whether a re-wrap is more practical.
